Make-A-Wish Skate Jam Decends Upon Los Angeles Next Month

Over the years, professional skateboarders, top ams and the industry’s “who’s who” have gathered annually at Southside skatepark to skate and contribute to the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s efforts out in Houston, Texas and the experience and results have been very effective and meaningful.

Well, the crew at Skateboarder magazine along with DC are putting together a similar sort of a skate event on the West Coast to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Los Angeles next month and it’s a safe bet, that it’s gonna be monumental. So mark your calendars and get on over to Hollenbeck Skate Plaza on April 17th, 2010 where several top professional skateboarders will be on the scene to compete in a series of “Best Trick” contests hosted by SPoTlight Productions and plenty of free goods will be handed out to the kids. Of course, the entire event benefits LA’s Make-A-Wish Foundation. The action begins at 11am and rolls until the sun drops.

Ripping Off Skate Artists

First this is not my post i copied this from a website i tried to write it in my own but this post sounds better.

We were tipped off to this article that points to a the Reload bag company. It seems these bozos are producing bags that feature the artwork of Jim Phillips, VCJ, Alien Workshop and Neil Blender and giving them NO part of the almost $400 price tag. What?
From Neil: “That bag is a shocker. They’re using all kinds of graphics from companies.Vision? T.Hawk? Weird, wonder what can be done? Wonder if they even sold any bags, terrible looking items.”
So if you run across these and get tempted to spend a grip of cash (we hope you would notice how shitty they are)…don’t. Support the skate companies who support the artists, not biters.
